The sheer incompetence and stupidity of Tuberville overwhelms me. The voters who stuck us with six years of his idiocy owe the rest of us an apology.

Breaking everything seems to be the GOP goal.

As we unpack the latest crisis, it's impossible to ignore the undercurrents of political infighting and personal power plays that have bulldozed their way to the forefront, trampling over our collective welfare and the safeguards of our national security. In a twist that's as ironic as it is dangerous, our external enemies can simply watch from the sidelines, popcorn in hand, as we do their work for them, our internal rifts playing right into their hands. You have to ask yourself: who's really winning when we're so busy fighting amongst ourselves?

The keepers of our republic, sworn to protect and serve, seem to be the very ones undermining its pillars. The global stage watches, some with dismay and others with opportunistic glee, as what should be a geopolitical game of chess degrades into a game that's less about strategy and more about the immediate satisfaction of the players. This all begs the critical question: In our internal battles, are we inadvertently raising the white flag to the most dangerous opponent, the one that resides within our own borders?
